Happy New Year!!!

Well, its 2009! I slept right through the switch...But Dan and Taggie were up. Not because they wanted to but because of all the fireworks. Taggie got scared and jumped into bed on Dan. Being a good papa, he stayed up and comforted the scared puppy!

With the new year, comes New Years resolutions. I don't really make New Years resolutions...because they usually fall through about two weeks into the new year. I also have a complaint about one resolution that most people make...to lose weight and get healthy...in theory its the perfect resolution, but its really not a resolution, it should be a life change!! (on soap box) Its all over the morning news shows...I even bought one of the books they say is the next best diet. (the Flat Belly Diet...I'll let you know how it goes!) Most people try and change Jan 1st....they try to change everything! They start working out super hard and eat all different foods. Well, thats why it doesn't work! If your like me, change is hard. Then 2 days after you start the new year, new you...its over...your back to the old you! What I say is make a life change to get healthy and lose weight...not a new years resolution! Save the new years resolution for something less crucial...because (according to the Today show) only 20% of people that make a resolution...actually follow through. (off soap box)

So, here is what I hope 2009 brings:

1. A revelation in pottery class...and I become an awesome potter! I start my new class Jan 5th. I have made a list of things I want to get accomplished in class. I'll keep you posted.

2. To keep my job through at least the end of the year. I hear paying bills is important ;) We still know nothing...I'll let you know when we do know something! But, Dan finishes May 2010...so, hopefully the end of my job will happen at the same time he graduates.

3. A wonderful vacation in March. Jamaica here we come!

4. A business idea or invention that will make me a millionaire! As most of you know (or don't know), I would love to have my own successful small business some day...maybe this is the year!

Okay, I think thats enough for now. I'll save the rest for when I blow out my b-day candles.

I wish everyone a wonderful new year and many wonderfully successful resolutions to come. (Assuming your part of the 20%!!!)

Christmas Recap:
Dan and I left Little Rock the Sunday before Christmas for the casino. Some people thought it was odd that we were spending our time at a casino for the holiday...I think they just wanted to come with us!!! We had a blast. We didn't lose all of our money so thats a plus. Tommie and Jay met us in Tunica on Monday. Jay would just breath on a slot machine and it gave him money! Lucky duck!!! I can't say the same for myself! After the casino fun, the family visits started...and kept going and going!!! Dan and I had 4 Christmas's and 2 get togethers with family in 6 days! Man we were tired. But it was great to see all the family. My favorite thing about family get togethers are the crazy relatives! What will they do/say next??? Lets just say they keep things interesting.

Marley & Me........A MUST see!
Dan and I went to see Marley & Me on Tuesday. If you have a doggie you LOVE as much as I love my Taggie, you need to take EXTRA tissue! I felt like they were telling the story of mine and Dans life! I just hope my Taggie lives forever and ever!

I know Taggie is terrified of fire works. He always had to sit in my lap when he heard fireworks on the 4th!! Poor Taggie!!
